Greed’s Grave
A branch with deep crimson flowers that refuse to wither away. The petals still pulsate with an oath made many, many moons ago. The vitrine in which it is displayed feels warm to the touch.

As a series of catastrophic events known as Greed’s Grave shook the very core of the continent, leaders of the recently liberated realms got together to decide the fate of Venar. They met at the foot of a great tree called the Tree of Oaths. It is watered by the blood of pilgrims that remember to this day. The heavy and proud stone tablet by its trunk reads:
“The Krumi Empire is no more. May their greed be a warning to us all, for ours is a dangerous land with the power to make and break empires, enslave our children, crush our very souls. Gather around, good mesters, let our quivering blood flow together once more as it did thousands of years ago — and swear. Swear that we shall abuse this Land no more.”
The ritual performed by the Tree of Oaths is perhaps the most important blood pact in the history of Venar.
